Our OCREA academic year commences when we convene at the Days Hotel, 290 Route 37 East, Toms River 08753, (732) 244-4000. Our business luncheon will begin at 11:00 AM in the Atlantis Ballroom.

Our luncheon menu will begin with an appetizer of Martini Caprese, Red & Yellow Grape Tomatoes & Fresh Mozzarella in Garlic Basil Pesto, accented with Asiago Baguette Toast Points & Fresh Basil. The Entrée Selections will be:

  • Roulade of Chicken Florentine, or

  • Sliced Roasted NY Strip served with Wild Mushroom Sauce, or

  • Ginger-infused Salmon with a Honey Teriyaki Glaze.

Chef’s selection of accompaniments and freshly baked rolls and butter with assorted soft drinks and water will be placed in pitchers on the tables. Freshly brewed coffee, decaffeinated coffee and tea will be served with dessert of cheesecake with strawberry sauce. A bartender will be available to accommodate your personal wishes. No takeout containers are allowed.

Please read Peggy Keane’s column about the Member Benefits Expo, which will begin prior to the luncheon in the Veranda Room, from 8:30 to 10:30 AM. She will also detail who the guest speakers are.

Operation Feed Ocean County

Thank you for your generosity at our March luncheon and your continued support of our endeavor. Your voluntary contributions help the scores of needy people in Ocean County.

At our May luncheon, the Hunger Relief truck will be parked at the entrance to Jack Baker’s Lobster Shanty until 11:15 a.m. to accept your donations from the list below. The driver can also accept checks, payable to Ocean County Hunger Relief, but not cash.

Please, no expired items:

beef stew, chili, hash milk: canned, powdered, shelf-stable

bottled water pasta

cereal peanut butter, jelly

chicken: canned pork & beans

crackers, snacks potatoes: instant (dry), canned

juice: cans, bottles, juice boxes Rice-a-Roni

ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise

$ 5.00 gift cards for grocery stores are also welcome!

Foods in microwaveable containers are greatly appreciated for those living in motels

where only a microwave is available for food preparation.
